Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Tourism and Tourism Promotion Center associating with many travel companies located in Ho Chi Minh City and UNESCO Hanoi Travel Club, VTF Organization, G7 Travel Club have organized the program "Free masks for tourists" in order to help prevent the pneumonia disease caused by the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) from spreading among tourists.
The program started on February 2, 2020 at 3 places: Ho Chi Minh City Post-office Ho Chi Minh City Notre Dame Cathedral Ho Chi Minh City Theatre In the near future, the program are going to be continued in many other tourist destinations in this vibrant city until February 10, 2020.
To proactively prevent pneumonia, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism recommends all tourists to wash your hands as often as possible, keep warming up yourselves and use appropriate antiseptic solution to gargle. In case of getting fever or cough or dyspnea, you must immediately go to the hospital to check your health condition or inform the city's health services and government to seek help.
